What it is.
The Compliance and Energy Infrastructure Program is local program to help municipalitites meet New York State mandates. The program offers project development, grant writing, technical assistance and grant adminstration assistance.
Southern Tier 8 provides assistance to communities in Broome, Chenango, Delaware, Tioga, and Tompkins Counties.
Southern Tier 8 Regional Board coordinators help local governments by:
- Facilitating mitigation and resiliency planning, including helping municipalities with Adaptation Plans
- Supporting the implementation and management of local action plans, and public projects.
- Providing planning support, education, capacity building, and training
What it accomplishes.
Southern Tier 8 Regional Board staff are invested in helping local municipalities increase resiliency, and build internal capacity to address public needs.
