RFP: Economic Development Site Promotion across the Southern Tier

Published on: Friday April 29th, 2022

Southern Tier 8 Regional Board and IDA partners across the region would like to promote local investment opportunities and community awareness for economic development initiatives.

The Regional Board is seeking a professional creative consultant to design, produce and install economic development site signs.  32 unique properties have been identified across Broome, Chenango, Cortland, Delaware, Otsego, Schoharie, Tioga and Tompkins Counties that are for sale or have ongoing re-development efforts with the local Industrial Development Agency (IDAs).

The Regional Board is seeking assistance for the contracted consultant to work with each of the 10 IDAs to gather specific site information, promote the vision for the site &/or local economic development efforts and offer a consistent branded message to promote all sites on the regional web portal of available projects across the region.  The portfolio of projects (with community locations defined) is currently housed here: https://www.theopportunityexchange.com/southerntier8/profile-cards/

This work is to include the design, fabrication and proper installation of the signs with each of the ten partner IDAs.  It is anticipated that the signs should be large (4x4/4X6) and made of durable materials (plastic/wood/metal) and offer a warrantee for two years.  All artwork is to be shared with the Regional Board in the event of reproduction needs and continued promotion efforts. Established local branding efforts (current logos from the Regional Board and IDAs are to also be incorporated in the sign design and will provided at the launch of the contract).

Please send a letter of interest with qualifications, examples of options, a workplan schedule and estimate of expenses to: Jen Gregory at [email protected] before 3pm on May 13, 2022. The chosen consultant will be awarded by May 17th.  The project must not exceed $50K and work must complete before August 30, 2022.
