On Wednesday, November 17th 2021 the Southern Tier 8 Regional Board hosted a luncheon at the Binghamton Club in Broome County NY bringing together Economic Development and Planning Teams with Private Sector Industry Leaders to develop a vision for supporting the Clean Energy Industry Cluster growth across the Southern Tier.
The Southern Tier 8 would like to extend a big thank you to all the partners involved and also those who attended and gave great feedback, participation, and shared enthusiasm in building this industry cluster in the region.
The Regional Board recently submitted a request to US Commerce’s Economic Development Administration to pursue federal investment of 75 million dollars for eight projects that support workforce training and manufacturing site development across the region. (The final decision will be announced in mid December or early January 2022).
