What it is.

The 2021-2022 Virtual Housing Summit Series will convene a diverse group of community stakeholders for 6 sessions on a bi-weekly basis to learn about the Southern Tier’s most pressing housing issues.  This series is organized by the Regional Planning Board with help from each County Planning Department and Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC).

January 27, 2021: Deconstructing Stigma: Community Opposition to Affordable, Mixed-Income, and Public Housing

February 10, 2021: Planning Ahead: Aligning Infrastructure and Zoning for Development

What it accomplishes.

This provides a platform to network with industry leaders and adapt best practices in communities across the Southern Tier.  The sessions will analyze interdisciplinary challenges, promote collaborative best practices, and encourage the development of equitable and sustainable solutions. The target audience is municipal leaders, economic developers, and private developers.
